As a consumer, whether the air bag light is "not part of the recall, and you can only get the recall work done once", this is extremely concerning that this vehicle has had so many issues with the safety devices at no more than 5 years of age. This one they are noting a problem with the "right front side deployment loop" and recommend that the passenger seat air bag be replaced. The gm service center is diagnosing a completely different problem than the first recall, and different than their last repair. Now a few months after this last repair, the air bag light came on again. They performed this repair in 2016, and noted they repaired a broken clip, but allegedly was a different problem that the one the recall addressed about 2 years prior. The air bag light came on a 3rd time, and vehicle was take to another gm service center for repair. The light came back on again shortly after, repaired one more time.
The first repair was completed due to a recall notice back then. The air bag light has been going on intermittently since around 2013.
