I frankly can't remember the last time I heard anyone talking about Painter, let alone Painter Essentials, but I suspect there are people out there who are fans of the software. Painter Essentials 4 boasts a number of new features, including a new workspace design, new brush and palette options, improvements to the Photo Painting system, a new "RealBristle" painting system, and lots more. Painter Essentials focuses more on sketching, painting, and drawing, rather than on photo manipulation.
