If you like some heat, this is a great plate for you! It was really good, however, I am a wimp and the chili paste had some heat so I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I would have liked. This works well for a table of four or more, but I can’t imagine it for a smaller party than that. The Fried Brussels had hot chili paste, tonnato, rice puffs, and lemon zest and when brought to our table was a HUGE serving. My mouth and brain just cannot work together to make it work so I pointed to Elena when the server asked, who simply said “the meat and cheese plate.” So funny.
We also put in an order for some starters, their Charcuterie Board and their Fried Brussels. Too cute.Īfter our show, Kristin arrived and ordered a Sangria herself. I later heard the ladies had bought a cocktail for the stranger who helped them. He got out, handed over the keys and they all came into the restaurant as we all cheered. They got out of the car, and this stranger jumped behind the wheel and had it parked perfectly in about thirty seconds. They finally waved over a young man from the restaurant to come help them. They were always a good five feet from the curb and, it just wasn’t working. They went back and forth (and it was a HUGE spot) at least 20 times. The entire restaurant was watching and they were just….terrible. If you are ever in TC go visit! It’s on the Leelanau Peninsula and you HAVE to try the goat cheese if you go!Īs we sipped on our delicious cocktails and waited for one last friend to arrive, we got a little bit of a show as we watched a woman and her friend trying to parallel park in a spot right in front of Fuze. But honestly, Sex is my favorite sparkling wine and comes from an awesome winery in Traverse City called L. My friends Elena and Shana both ordered the Red Sangria which had red wine, brandy, triple sec, peach liqueur, orange juice, apple juice, and seasonal fruits.īoth cocktails were so pretty! I loved the single rose petal in my drink. It was Sex Rose sparkling wine, rose vodka, and orange juice.
Our server came by shortly after, and we ordered some cocktails as we waited for one more friend to arrive. I greeted my buddies and sat down to look over the menu. They recently added some outdoor seating, which would be lovely on a nice night or for a Sunday Brunch, which they do offer. Modern and eclectic without being overwhelming. Super cute! The tables are pretty bare, with only a himalayan salt looking candle on the table, a linen napkin and silverware. There is a big “Fuze” sign behind the bar that looked like it was made of grass. They have some really cute lights strung up across the ceiling and some local art featured on the walls that are for sale. There is a large, colorful mural on the back wall that really brings a lot of color into the room. There is a large bar on one side with tables up against the wall as well as in the back section of the restaurant. (Thanks, Fuze!) Not only does this make pics better, but there is some great people watching there! When I made our reservations I requested a table by the window (better lighting for pics!) and was excited to see two of my friends already there in at the front table directly next to the window. I drove around the block two times hoping to find a (free) street parking spot, but ultimately gave up and paid $4 for a spot in a lot behind Fuze.įuze has a backdoor, but I walked around the block to be able to enter the main door. I was going there at around 7:30pm on a Saturday night, so of course, downtown was busy. This is probably great for business, but also causes some issues for parking. It’s in a prime spot, right on Michigan Avenue, across from the Radisson. It was previously The London Grill and in looking at their Instagram ( they did a ton of renovations to their space. I was eager to see what the other girls thought, and maybe try some new things.įuze opened in late 2016. I was excited! I had been once before and really loved it. I, once again, sent a list to the ladies and Fuze Kitchen and Bar in downtown Kalamazoo was picked! One of the girls, Shana, had had a birthday a week or so before and we wanted a reason to celebrate. Saturday night I got together with a group of girlfriends for dinner.
